Adhesives for Installing Floors
Adhesives can be used as a tongue-and- groove glue, or as a "glue down" adhesive for flooring installation. The purpose of the adhesive is to secure the floor to your subfloor while still allowing for natural expansion and contraction. We carry various adhesives as recommended by different flooring manufacturers.
What is the best adhesive for flooring?
Always use the adhesive recommended by your flooring manufacturer. However we carry Titebond and Bona products, both of which are excellent and commonly recommended for use by flooring manufacturers.
What type of glue should I use on laminate flooring?
You should always use what the manufacturer specifically recommends. For tongue-and-groove application, we often recommend Titebond Laminate Floor glue.
