General Job Description: The Marketing Specialist works to maintain a cohesive design for our company’s online and print marketing materials.
The successful candidate will:
-Prioritize website content development; adding new products to through completion of our online catalogue and current product offering and adding new products and product categories as required.
-Conceptualize and produce creative designs for print such as flyers, banners, signs, posters and marketing materials.
-Create relevant blogs, product knowledge, project ideas for website and social campaigns.
-Have some knowledge of website design practices, new trends in marketing including social marketing strategies, experience in print marketing design and communications.
Excellent attention to detail, creativity and knowledge of information technology are highly sought-after qualities for this position.
Specific Job Duties:
- Managing website content, maintaining web design
- Design content for digital and social media streams, blogs and email
- Knowledge of search engines
- Designing print Flyer layout, publishing content and maintaining continuity of themes.
- Strong communication skills and up-to-date awareness of marketing
- Work closely with TimberTown store managers to understand their business objectives, the details of their core product groups and what their optimal customer demographic is.
- Deliver on print Flyers and promotional print information
- Liaise with various print suppliers.
- Help in the planning of promotional events such as Home Shows, In-store demos and contractor events (In store Demo’s).
- Collaborate with TimberTown leadership to develop strategic marketing plans to support acquisition and retention of clients & customers.
A degree in Marketing or related field of Graphic Design, Web Design.
Strong knowledge of graphic design tools and practices in the production of graphic files for print, web and social applications with experience using Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is essential.
Experience in website content management, designing for websites and social media is desired.
Creative and strong writing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience with analytics packages such as Google Analytics is an asset
Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Word press-based best practices is an asset.
Basic knowledge of HTML and of web programming is an asset.

TimberTown Building Centre Ltd. is currently seeking a competitive, ambitious & motivated individual to join our sales team! Earn 12% Profit Sharing with a Guaranteed Salary Base. We are closed Sundays and Statutory Holidays.
Job Responsibilities: The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for servicing and maintaining our current customer base while constantly prospecting for new customers. The sales associate is responsible for seeking out customers around the store, assessing their needs and providing solutions for any materials required. The candidate must be a team player, and be able to quickly adapt & work effectively in a high paced retail work environment.
Qualifications: Successful candidates will be experienced with lumber and building supplies, and have a passion for ongoing client relationship building. Must have computer skills and experience using Point of Sale software would be an asset. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with employees, management, suppliers & customers.
Proof of high school education or equivalent.
Able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays. We are closed Sundays and Statutory Holidays.

Specific Job Responsibilities: Prompt, friendly, courteous handling of customer inquiries for products, pricing, information and concerns. Reading blueprints and providing material take-offs, using drawings/plans to providing accurate quotes for clients. Ensure timely and accurate shipping of your customer’s order. Load customer if time permits. Contact customers on a regular basis in order to develop and increase your personal sales volumes. Ensure that pricing and product information is accurate and current. Ensure that all Orders and Sales documentations are accurately and promptly processed. Follow up on all Back-Order and Special Order documentation to ensure shipment as agreed. Review customer credit status at time of order and ensure that proper approvals are obtained as per accepted policies and procedures. Become knowledgeable of all TimberTown product lines. Investigate and maintain a knowledge of competitor’s products and Pricing. Arrange the purchase, terms and delivery of your Special Order merchandise. Assist in the purchase and inventory control activities for designated product lines assigned to you by the store manager.
